We stopped here for lunch. This place reminds me of going to grandma's house for dinner. From everything I could see, this place is pure homemade comfort food. I had the turkey dinner. Yeah, I was that hungry. I started with a cup of bean soup that was substantial and satisfying, with small chunks of ham in it. They also brought out warm, house-made rolls. The turkey was several THICK slices of roasted turkey that was moist and delicious, along with mashed potatoes and dressing. My guess is that they make the dressing with their house-made bread. Everything was covered in turkey gravy that had visible bits of fresh herbs in it. I also had a small cup of fresh cranberry sauce. Tasty, tasty, tasty. Hubby had pot roast. Just as tasty, as was the beef gravy topping it. Don't skip the bakery case. We had no room for dessert after the massive lunch, but got a bunch of different kinds of cookies on our way out. We enjoyed them tremendously later that afternoon.

Great family restaurant, my husband was born and raised in Calcutta, we live in Florida now and was back in town visiting relatives, Adrian's is our favorite place to go for dinner, great Baked Chicken and Baked Steak, their Salads are excellent also. Really nice friendly people, thanks for helping make our trip enjoyable.

Excellent home cooked meals! The prices are very reasonable and most importantly the food excellent. I would highly recommend you try it. I love the fish sandwich! The pies, cookies, etc, are all homemade! Best place in Calcutta!

It definitely is NOT the best restaurant in the world, but they do what they do well! Let me stress the kindness of the staff, they were helpful and insightful. I ordered the twin burger and a pasta penne plate. The burger was good but fell apart somewhat easy, their special sauce should be noted as very delicious. The pasta was there BEST thing I got, the sauce had a delicious sweet taste to it. Bakery is very good I got two small chocolate chip cookies the large peanut butter cookie , peanut butter cupcake, and a chocolate cream puff.... All resulting in a delicious lunch. The venue is clean and tidy

I had the worst food AND service today at the same time! I wish I could give zero stars because the food was inedible and the servers were very rude. The manager refused to talk to me as well. Just terrible. Do not eat here.

Would be zero if it were possible. Near death experience with food poisoning. Legit hospital bill and all. Disgusting place. Ask to see the kitchen before being seated.

This place was just as good as reviews lead me to believe. Friendly staff and fantastic food. I had a Reuben with the waffle fries. Both were delicious. I saw several people eating the steak salad, that's what I'm getting next time it looked amazing!

Nice little family owned restaurant. The food is good and the wait staff great. However the kitchen does get backed up and there can be a long wait for your meal. If you are on a time crunch you can also call ahead for takeout. The bakery is great...pies, cakes, and awesome sugar cookies.

Have ate there for years. Liked the vibe of the old location more but the food is always good and always had great experience with the staff. Thumbs up!

Wonderful home cooked meals. Visiting from Las Vegas and what a find! Prices are more than reasonable. Desserts are made fresh daily. Service is excellent too. They should have a giant arrow or beacon because it's too good of a find to miss when visiting. -fresh fish sandwich -baked stead dinner -steak salad

It really is, as good as it gets for Appalachian home/family style cooking. The area of Calcutta, OH is very beautiful, nestled outside of Beaver Creek State Park in the Appalachian foot hills. If you are visiting the area for it's parks and recreational activities, Adrian's is the place to go after building up an appetite. This was my first job off the farm, I worked as a dish washer and was trained as a line cook here at Adrian's, so I know the goodness that comes out of this kitchen. Two wonderful people, Adrian and Andy. Father and son have been running this establishment for years. They keep it simple and you get simply the best Appalachian home/family style food. When I worked for Adrian they were in a different location, on top of the hill as you head into East Liverpool, OH. Now they are located in what's call Calcutta Square. The floor plan is very open and welcoming. The waitresses, most are still there from when I was a kid, are very nice and seem as if they love your company...and they do! You need to get desert, most of the pies and cookies are from a local bakery and even some are made by Adrian's own baker. If you have a chance to visit, wether you are passing through or making a day out of Beaver Creek State Park, tell Andy or Adrian that Dave Young sent you.

One of the few restaurants in the area that is truly local, i.e., not a chain, etc... It is small, clean, simple, and much like the well-known Columbiana restaurant "The Dutch Hause" in the fare that is offered. Mid-American home-style cooking, pure and simple. Dishes are well-prepared and made to order. Daily specials are popular and enjoyable. I ordered a grilled salmon special not expecting it to really be properly cooked, thinking that they would'nt likely have the faintest as to how to create a proper salmon. I was tremendously surprised at how perfectly cooked it was. Grilled to delicious tender perfection and the accompanying sides were just as tasty. I don't reside in the area, but when I visit, I usually eat here. (There aren't really any decent options in the area other than fast food or a national chain or two and that's about it). But, I am not disappointed at all whenever I arrive. The servers are friendly and will patiently guide you if you can't quite make up your mind. And, I recommend dessert always. The dessert items are homemade and worth straying from your diet, very few places can offer that kind of worthy delight. I hope you find your visit as consistently enjoyable as I do. Bon Appetit!
